Changing Alternate Covers for ComicVine Catlog
Is there any way to chose the cover in the Comic Vine catalog if there are multiple versions?. I know on the website they usually have the alternate covers, but I didn't know if that was a field that we can chose in comicster.

Not via the catalog plug-in, but you can always get the URI of the image you
like and manually change the cover art image URI to that. :)

I see. What about issue order other than drag and drop. Most of my comics area ll out of order from the transfer for some reason.

Also is there any way to only update certain fields from the Comic Vine catalog instead of everything?

Hmm. I hadn't really considered that. The actual internal "order" field is
something I didn't want to surface to the UI at all. Perhaps a "reorder
based on issue number" plug-in?

I did away with the checkboxes to selectively update only certain fields. If
I want to just update some fields I pull up the info panel with the
ComicVine data and copy & paste the bits I want into my issue. Not ideal but
it works.

That would work. If we could get a by issue number and a by date (because some ridiculous comics like Deadpool Team-up went in reverse issue number from 899 back) that would be great. I really like the new Comicster so thanks for all the work you've put into it!

Thanks for the feedback! As always it's a labour of love. I'm a big fan of
the new look and feel, and I love the idea of being able to add features as
plug-ins.

Lucien,
There is now a "Comicster.Tools.SortIssues" extension that you can install to sort issues.
Use it by clicking on "Tools|Sort Issues by Date" or "Tools|Sort Issues by Number". Note that you need to have a title selected for it to be enabled (you can't sort issues if you're viewing a folder, for example).
Make sure you let Comicster update to 4.0.0.43 before you run the extension - it relies on a minor tweak to the core code.
Let me know how you go!
Matt
